Who actually sends the emails?
We do. Your job details and photos go out from HomeBid to matching local businesses in your area, with an invitation to send you a quote. You never have to write a single email or repeat yourself on the phone.
Is $3.99 really all it costs?
Yes — $3.99 flat per request. We never take a percentage of the job, never charge pros lead fees, and there's no subscription. You pay the pro you choose directly, at the price you agreed on.
How do you pick which pros get my request?
We match on two things: the trade your job needs (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, and so on) and your area. Every matching local business gets the same invitation at the same time — that's what creates the competition.
Do pros pay anything to be on HomeBid?
No. Receiving your request is free for them. That's intentional: a pro with no lead fee to recover can quote you their real number, and win or lose on price alone.
What if nobody replies?
Coverage varies by trade and area, and some jobs are quieter than others. If your blast comes back silent, reach out to support and we'll make it right.
