Text messages from CrewButton

CrewButton — a service of Econ Labs LLC

Effective: October 7, 2026

CrewButton sends and receives text messages from one phone number, (469) 949-2112. This page says what the texts are, who gets them, exactly how a person agrees to them, and how to stop. It is the public record of our text-message program; our Terms of Service (Section 7) and Privacy Policy (Section 6) say the same thing in full.

What the texts are

Every text is about a specific job request on CrewButton: a new job near a business, the quotes businesses send, questions and replies relayed between a homeowner and a business, visit times, a hire confirmation, and status updates. They are never marketing, never sent from a purchased list, and never sent to anyone who has not asked. Message frequency varies with the activity on your job requests. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using CrewButton or of any purchase.

How people opt in

There are four ways a number gets onto our list. In every one of them, the person sees or hears the disclosure above before they agree, and the box is always unticked until they tick it.

1. Homeowners text us first

A homeowner starts the conversation by texting (469) 949-2112 with a job and a ZIP code. The invitation on our support page reads, word for word:

Prefer texting? Text CrewButton at (469) 949-2112 with your job and ZIP code. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. See our Terms of Service (Section 7) and Privacy Policy (Section 6).

Our replies are only about the request they started. The first reply they receive is:

Hi! I'm CrewButton. Tell me the job and your ZIP in one line, like: "Replace water heater, 75001". I'll find local pros and get you real quotes. Reply STOP any time.

2. Businesses tick the box on the quote form

A business that received a job-request email from CrewButton opens its quote page. The mobile-number field is optional, and the box beside it is unticked. The label beside the box reads:

Text me at this number about my job requests from CrewButton (new jobs, quotes, questions and replies). Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of using CrewButton. Terms · Privacy Policy

The CrewButton quote form: an optional Mobile field, then an unticked checkbox labelled Text me at this number about my job requests from CrewButton (new jobs, quotes, questions and replies). Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of using CrewButton. Terms · Privacy Policy.

3. Businesses tick the box when they sign up

A business creating its CrewButton profile sees the same line beside an unticked box, and a separate optional "Mobile for texts" field:

Text me too (optional). Text me at this number about my job requests from CrewButton (new jobs, quotes, questions and replies). Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of using CrewButton. Terms · Privacy Policy

The CrewButton business sign-up form's Consent section: an unticked checkbox labelled Text me too (optional), followed by the full text-message disclosure, and an optional Mobile for texts field.

4. Businesses ask on a phone call, then confirm by text

When a CrewButton team member is on the phone with a business owner, the team member reads this before taking a number:

"Can we text you job requests at this number? The texts are from CrewButton and only about job requests near you — new jobs, the customer's replies, and hire confirmations. How often you hear from us depends on how many jobs come in. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. Texting is optional — saying no changes nothing else."

If the owner says yes, we record the number, the date and how they agreed, and send exactly one text. No job request is sent until the business replies YES to it:

This is CrewButton. You told Jude on the phone today it's OK to text you job requests at this number. Reply YES to confirm, STOP to never hear from us. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help.

The confirmation, STOP and HELP

When a number opts in by replying YES (or START), it receives:

CrewButton: You're signed up for texts about CrewButton job requests. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

Reply STOP (or CANCEL, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, END) and you receive one confirmation and nothing more:

CrewButton: You have been unsubscribed and will receive no more texts from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.

Reply HELP (or INFO) and you receive:

CrewButton: For help, email jude@crewbutton.com or visit www.crewbutton.com/support. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.

Your number

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your text-message opt-in data with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes.
